I need to install an old Mitsumi 2X CD-ROM (model CRMC-FX001D) in an old Hewitt Rand 486DX2 computer.. I've got the interface card ( id No 74-1645A) that came with the drive but I can't get Does anyone know where I might find info about setting this CD up so I can install Windows on this old klunker machine?

To get the CD-ROM fixed just buy a set of these cheap standard AT siderails. These need to be shortened at the rear for about one Inch. Would recommend that *how much* you need to cut off and if the height is set right - not to accidently cut the wrong end :-) The machine will however miss a thin framing bezel.
